My dear friends, today the Lord says that He is longing to be with you. Yes, the Lord longs to be with His children. He waits for us to come and speak to Him. He waits for us to sit at His feet and tell Him all about our day. He wants to know about your happiness and your sadness. He wants to know about your plans. He even wants to know what you are planning to wear today. Yes, the Lord longs to be close to us.

The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 15:2, “The Lord is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you.” Yes, He is a very patient God. He does not push Himself into our lives. He waits for you to come and sit with Him. I am always reminded of a picture of how Jesus waits at the coffee table. It is a beautiful picture because we have the exact table outside our room in the house. Every time I see it, I think of how Jesus is waiting for me to come and sit with Him with a cup of coffee. That is how the Lord is waiting for you too today.

Sit with Him and speak to Him. Tell Him about your troubles. Tell Him all that is worrying you. Tell Him, “Lord, I cannot do this anymore.” And the Lord will take care of everything in your life. The Lord says, “Cast all your anxieties on Me,” and He will take care of them. He will give you rest. He will take care of everything in your life. The Bible says in James 4:8, “When you come near to God, He will come near to you.” Today, let us redirect our lives towards Christ. Are you distracted by other things in this world—your family, your phone, or your social media? When these things distract you, your focus moves away from God. So, let us redirect our focus to God today.

Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, today we commit our lives into Your hands. Help us to come closer to You and enjoy Your presence every day. Remove every distraction from our lives, whether through social media, phones, video games, family, or children. Help us never to allow these things to draw our hearts away from You. Thank You for the great love You have for Your dear children. You love us so much and are not willing to let us go. For those who feel far away from You, help them draw near to You and experience Your presence. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, take care of their lives, and bless them abundantly. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
