My friend, as we celebrate the Christmas season, the greatest truth that comes to us is this: “God is Love”. The Bible says in I John 4:8, “God is Love,” and in verse 7, “Love comes from God.” This Love came to us in the form of a human being, Jesus, on Christmas Day. John 3:16 says Jesus is the embodiment of God’s Love. He is full of Love. I John 4:9, it says Jesus came to bring us God who is Love. Love came in the flesh in the form of a human being for us. This world is filled with hatred, greed, and selfishness, but Love came down to make us enjoy real love, which is God’s Love. Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.” This gift of Love, which forgives and atones for our sins, came through Jesus. Isaiah 53:5 says, “He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities.” On the cross, Love judged Himself so that we might be forgiven.
I Corinthians 13:4 says, “Love suffers long and is kind.” Yes, Jesus suffered on the cross to bring forgiveness for our sins and cleanse our hearts of hatred, lust, and selfishness. Love heals. All we need to do is come to this Love, to Jesus, and surrender, saying, “Lord, forgive me and cleanse me with Your blood.” When you repent thus, He is faithful to forgive you and fill you with His Love. This Love makes you secure and gives you life. One woman named Daisy experienced this Love. She was a poor flower seller whose husband was an alcoholic. One day, during a Jesus Calls meeting, the Lord called out her name through my father, Brother Dhinakaran. Her husband, who was drunk and standing outside, was called in. When my father embraced him, that very moment, after 28 years of addiction, he was set free. Love healed him completely. God blessed their family, gave them a home, and established them in His Love.
When Love came into this world through Jesus, He went about healing the sick and setting the oppressed free. Matthew 9:35 says Jesus had great compassion for the people. In Mark 1:41, when a leper cried out, “If it be Your will, touch me and heal me,” Jesus, moved with Love, healed him. Acts 10:38 says Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil because the anointing of Love was upon Him. Matthew 8:17 reminds us that Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our weaknesses upon Himself. Love came to heal.
A woman named Mrs. Nabam Hania from Itanagar was bitten by an insect, and her leg became paralysed. Doctors said it must be amputated. But when she was carried to a Jesus Calls meeting, the Holy Spirit touched her. The Love of God came upon her, and her leg was instantly healed. Today, she walks perfectly well. Yes, Love heals, my friend. This Christmas, come to this perfect Love, Jesus. His Love forgives, heals, and restores. May God bless you and your family with this Love.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into this world as Love itself. Thank You for showing us what true love means through Your sacrifice. Please cleanse my heart from all sin, hatred, and selfishness, Lord. Fill me with Your love and let Your compassion flow through me to others who need Your touch. Heal every wound in my heart and every sickness in my body. Make me a vessel of Your love in this world of pain and division. Help me to live daily in the assurance of Your presence, Immanuel (God with us). This Christmas, let Your love overflow in my life and in my family. Thank You, Jesus, for being Love that never fails. Amen.
