My dear friend, today we are meditating on Galatians 5:1. It says, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." Yes, my dear friend, God has given you freedom today. Jesus has set you free, not to keep you as a hostage or hold you in bondage, but so that you can live in freedom. Maybe today you are bound by so much guilt and fear, perhaps because of your past mistakes or because of certain memories that are tormenting you. Even though you believe in Jesus, all those feelings and emotions may still be tormenting you today. You may be thinking, "I am not able to change. I am not able to come out of this." But today, you have complete freedom in the Lord.

There is a popular story about a young elephant that was tied to a strong stake with a rope. When it was small, it tried to break free. It tried many times, but it could not. Eventually, the elephant stopped trying and began to believe that it could never break free. As the elephant grew bigger and stronger, that same rope was enough to keep it in its place. It was not that the rope was getting stronger and stronger; rather, the elephant believed that it could not escape. Even though the elephant had grown bigger and stronger, it still believed that the small rope was enough to keep it in place. That belief controlled its thoughts and behaviour.

In the same way, even as we grow, our past mistakes, our old behaviours, and everything that happened in our past may continue to control us today. Maybe it is a failure. Maybe it is a hurt. Maybe it is guilt. We may think, "Oh, this happened to me before. I will never be able to change. I will never be able to come out of this." And because of that, we may remain stuck in the same place, holding on to the same fear and unable to move forward. You may have made a mistake and asked God for forgiveness, but you may still be blaming yourself. But today, God wants to give you complete freedom and deliverance. He wants you to live a new life with Him.

So, firstly, let us stop condemning ourselves, because God does not condemn us. As it says in Romans 8:1, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Today, the Lord does not condemn you. Instead, He wants you to change and live a new life with Him—a righteous life, a God-fearing life. So, receive God's forgiveness and stop punishing yourself for what God has already forgiven you for.

Secondly, God wants to give you freedom, not fear. In 2 Timothy 1:7, we see that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline. So, don't let fear control your decisions or anxiety dictate your choices. Instead, do everything with a clear and sound mind, and be filled with the love that God pours into your heart.

Thirdly, walk in the freedom God has given you. The Bible says in John 8:36, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." So today, as you walk through the process of healing, deliverance, and freedom, trust in the Lord and know that you are not alone. God wants to guide you through this journey so that you can enjoy the freedom you have in Jesus. Temptations may come your way. Distractions may come your way. Voices of negativity may come your way. But never forget the truth you hear and read in God's Word. Always believe that God has set you free, and walk in that freedom from today onward.

PRAYER:
Loving Lord Jesus, Thank You for this day Lord. Thank You for the promise that You have purchased freedom for me from my past sins, guilt and fear of the future. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit Lord. Take complete control of my thoughts and lead me victoriously. Help me be more than a conqueror and walk in freedom from all weaknesses. I believe Your Spirit will lead me into all truth and into a life of righteousness, joy and peace. In Your matchless Name I pray, Amen.
