Friends, today the Lord promises to change all your curses into blessings. I recently read a true incident that happened in Bangalore. There was a court case happening, and an elderly woman tried to go and do black magic on the judge's chair. Before the judge or anybody could enter, she went in and tried to put magic on that chair. Yes, so many things happen in this world. But the Lord promises that He will protect us and He will change all our curses into blessings. Let's read from Nehemiah 13:2: “Our God, however, turned the curse into a blessing.” Today you might be in the same situation. Sometimes they talk about generational curses—a curse that goes from one generation to the other, from the mother to the child and to the grandchildren. But today the Lord is going to turn that same curse into a blessing. This can be as simple as being addicted to something.

They always say, “Oh my, his dad was an alcoholic, so he's also an alcoholic. His dad was a gambler, so he's also a gambler.” But today the Lord is going to break that curse. From you, that is going to change. You are not going to carry it to your children. The Lord will bring that change in your life.

There's a story of a man called Mr. John O'Leary. When he was just eight or nine years old, he was playing with a matchbox in his house. Unfortunately, the full garage caught on fire. He almost had third-degree burns throughout his body. The doctor said, “You have only one percent of survival throughout the night.” But God did a miracle in his life. God touched him and healed him. And after five, six, or seven months of rehabilitation, Mr. John is a happily married man now, and he goes throughout the world as a motivational speaker. Yes, these curses might try to bring you down. They might try to destroy your family. They might try to prevent all the blessings in your life. But the Lord says, the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. And the Lord will change it into a blessing.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for Your promise that You can turn every curse into a blessing. Break every pattern of addiction and every harmful influence that has continued from one generation to another. Protect Your children and their families from every evil plan and fill their homes with Your presence. Let every curse spoken against them be turned into a blessing. Give them freedom from alcoholism, gambling, and every unhealthy addiction. Place Your hedge of protection around them and guide them in Your ways. Let blessings overflow in their lives and continue through their children. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
