My dear friend, today’s promise is from Psalm 51:12, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.” Many times in life, we may feel as though the joy of salvation has slipped away. Sin, temptation, or even the struggles of life may leave us feeling distant from God. Once we may have been full of fire, zeal, and passion to serve the Lord, but over time, when failures or weaknesses crept in, that fire may have dimmed. Just like Peter, who was once bold and determined to follow Jesus at any cost, we too may have denied or disappointed the Lord in our weakness. When Peter denied Jesus three times, his heart was crushed and he wept bitterly, thinking he could never be forgiven again.

But our Lord is merciful. When Jesus rose from the dead, He gently restored Peter by asking three times, “Do you love Me?” one for each denial. That moment proved that Jesus not only forgives but also restores completely. The Bible says in Hebrews 8:12, “For I will forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more.” Dear friend, when we repent with all our heart, the Lord wipes away every sin and does not hold it against us. He restores the joy of salvation, lifts away the burden of guilt, and fills us with peace. What once crushed us will no longer define us. Instead, His grace will sustain us and His Spirit will strengthen us to walk faithfully again.

Look at Peter after his restoration: the same man who once failed went on to lead thousands to Jesus, preached with boldness, and even healed the sick with just his shadow. That is the power of a restored life. In the same way, when you repent and turn back to God, He will not only forgive you but also empower you for a greater purpose. He will grant you a willing spirit that does not give up but stays faithful until the end. Today, the Lord longs to restore your joy, renew your spirit, and set you free to serve Him with gladness. Do not stay in guilt or shame. Come back to Jesus, and He will give you a new beginning filled with peace, joy, and strength.

Prayer:
Loving Father, Thank You for forgiving my sin and restoring me. Fill me today with the joy of Your salvation once again. Grant me a willing spirit to serve You faithfully each day. Remove every burden of guilt and replace it with peace and joy. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
