Dear Friend, it is the heart of God to bless His children in every way. In Luke 6:38 Jesus says, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your bosom.” God delights to pour blessings, but He also shows us where and how to give. First, the Lord says in Proverbs 23:26, “My son, give me your heart.” He does not want us to carry sin, fear, or burdens in our heart. In Revelation 3:20, Jesus says He is standing at the door and knocking. When we open our heart and give it fully to Him, He comes in and fills us with peace, joy, and every spiritual blessing. The greatest giving begins when we surrender our hearts to Jesus.
Secondly, we are called to give our offerings to God. In Malachi 3:10–11, the Lord commands us to bring our tithes into His storehouse, that there may be food in His house. When we give one-tenth of our earnings or dedicate our first fruits, God promises to open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings we cannot contain. He also rebukes the devourer, protecting our finances, health, and families. As we sow into fertile ground where thousands are touched by the Gospel, the Lord multiplies our seed and blesses us in abundance. In addition, Isaiah 58:7–8 teaches us to give to the poor—feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and sheltering the homeless. When we care for the needy, God heals us, makes our righteousness shine, and covers us with His glory.
Finally, God blesses those who give to His servants. The widow of Zarephath gave her last meal to the prophet Elijah, and God blessed her household with provision (1 Kings 17:12–16). In the same way, when we honor God’s servants who pray for us and labor for the Kingdom, God releases special blessings upon us. Psalm 16:2–3 reminds us to honor the saints who walk with the Lord. Therefore, let us give our heart to Jesus, give our tithes to His ministry, give to the poor, and give to His servants. Then the Lord will cause blessings to overflow in our lives—spiritually, physically, and materially. May God grant you this grace to live as a cheerful giver.
Prayer:
Loving Father, I thank You for Your heart to bless me. Today I give my heart fully to You. Cleanse me from sin, fear, and burdens. Fill me with Your peace and joy. Bless me as I give to Your ministry. Rebuke the devourer and protect my blessings. Help me to remember the poor and care for them. Honor me as I honor Your servants. Let abundance and healing overflow in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
