Dear brothers and sisters, today we are going to meditate on a beautiful promise verse: “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me” (Psalm 138:8). In the previous verse, David says, “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life, and Your right hand will save me.” Even in difficult circumstances, he trusted in God’s protection and faithfulness. We may feel anxious about our circumstances, but God assures us, “My grace is sufficient for you, My child.” His grace will sustain us through every trial.

In the midst of his suffering, Job declared, “I know that You can do all things; no purpose of Yours can be thwarted” (Job 42:2). Despite everything he endured, Job remained confident in God’s sovereign power. The Bible says that many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. Although we may have our own plans, God knows what is best for us and works according to His perfect purpose. The devil may devise evil schemes to destroy us or separate us from God. People may also plot against us, but their plans cannot prevail over the Lord’s purposes.

Psalm 21:11 says, “Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes, they cannot succeed.” The following verse declares that the Lord will make them turn their backs when He aims at them with His drawn bow. Though our enemies may rise against us, God can scatter their plans. We need not fight every battle in our own strength, for He can intervene on our behalf. When trouble surrounds you, it may be difficult to remain hopeful. Nevertheless, declare in faith, “My Lord will perfect everything concerning me.” Trust Him to guide your steps and accomplish His purposes in your life.

Perhaps you are facing court cases or feel that people are trying to bring you down. You may even fear that someone intends to harm you. In your distress, you might think, “I cannot bear this pain anymore. Let me end my life.” Dear friend, please do not give up. Your life is precious. Reach out to someone you trust for support, especially when your suffering feels unbearable. God can strengthen you and help you through this difficult season.

May you experience the Lord’s mighty hand at work in your circumstances today. He can grant you wisdom and favour in your legal battles, strengthen you against opposition, and lead you towards deliverance. He will guide you through every challenge as you trust in Him. Place your burdens in God’s hands and remain confident in His faithfulness. He is your defender and refuge. May He lead you through your struggles and fulfil His purposes in your life, filling you with peace and strength as you wait upon Him.

Prayer:
Loving Lord, according to Your promise, intervene in the lives of those facing troubles today. Defend them in their court cases and grant them victory according to Your will. Rebuke every evil scheme against them, remove darkness and strengthen their hearts. Give them good news as they wait for Your intervention. Perfect everything concerning their lives, preserve them from troubles and heartaches, and help them succeed. Turn their situations around, let every evil plan fail, and replace their shame with a double portion of honour. Let them experience Your mighty deliverance and miracles today. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
