My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, I invite you to meditate on 1 Peter 2:2, “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.” The pure milk refers to the pure Word of God, which nourishes our spirit and strengthens our faith. Scriptures like Deuteronomy 8:3, Matthew 4:4, and Luke 4:4 remind us that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. My friend, how much importance do you give to God’s Word in your life? Do you have a Bible to read? My mother made it a practice to buy a Bible for each child immediately after birth, and through this, God blessed our family abundantly.
In Luke 5:5, we see Simon Peter and his friends fishing all night without catching anything. Yet, when Jesus told Peter, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch,” Peter responded, “Nevertheless, at Your word I will let down the net.” What followed was a miracle: they caught such a great number of fish that their nets began to break. This teaches us an important lesson: when we obey God’s Word and act according to His guidance, His blessings overflow in our lives. The fruit of our efforts increases when we are aligned with His will. Just like Peter, we may toil and struggle on our own, but God’s Word, when obeyed, transforms our work into abundance and miracles.
Let us examine our lives and ask ourselves how much time we dedicate to reading, meditating, and living by God’s Word daily. If we are falling short, let us surrender our hearts to the Lord and seek His grace to grow in His Word with sincerity.
Prayer:
Father, give me a desire to read Your Word daily. Fill my heart with the grace to meditate sincerely on Your Word. Let every verse strengthen my faith and guide my actions. Bless me with wisdom and understanding from Your Word. Overflow my life with Your abundant blessings. Change my heart to love and obey Your Word. Let Your Word bear fruit in every area of my life. Give me courage to trust Your promises daily. Lead me to live a life pleasing in Your sight. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
