My friend, today God promises you a great thing. In Haggai 2:19, the Lord says, “From this day on, I will bless you.” What a great encouragement that is! If you look at the background of the book of Haggai, the people of Israel had not given God a place in their hearts. And so God asks, “How can I come and bless you without having a place in your heart?” The Lord was deeply disappointed. He said, “That is why your vine trees and fig trees have dried up. Your pomegranate and olive trees have withered. They have not borne fruit.” But then comes the turning point. The Lord says, “As you give your heart to Me, from this day on, I will bless you. I will come into your heart and richly bless you.”

That is exactly what He did for Peter. Peter had tried to do everything on his own, to live his life, to work hard, and to be fruitful and blessed. But it all dried up. As a fisherman, he couldn’t catch any fish, no matter how hard he toiled. But then Jesus came. He said to Peter, “Give your heart to Me. Give your boat to Me. Give your life to Me, and follow Me.” And what happened next? Jesus said, “I will make you fruitful”, and He did. Peter became fruitful in catching so many fish, and later, so many men for the Kingdom of God. God blessed and made Peter’s life flourish from nothing.

That is your destiny, too. From this day on, He will bless you. Will you submit your heart to Him?

PRAYER:
Loving Lord, thank You for Your promise that You will bless me from this day on. Lord, I open my heart to You now. Please forgive me for the times I have lived without giving You the entire place in my heart. Come into my heart, Lord, and make it Your home. Just as You turned Peter’s empty nets into overflowing abundance, I pray that You will take my life, my efforts, my struggles, my family and breathe Your blessing into them. I surrender all. Let fruitfulness and favour flow as I commit to follow You wholeheartedly. From this day on, may Your blessing rest upon me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
