Dear Friends, today let us meditate on Proverbs 2:6, “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Our God is the fountain of all wisdom. As Proverbs 1:4 says, wisdom gives us knowledge and intelligent discernment. We must search for it as hidden treasure. The more we spend time in the Word of God, the more divine wisdom He imparts. You may wonder, what is true wisdom? According to 1 Corinthians 1:24, “Christ is the wisdom of God.” In Him are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge. This wisdom cannot be earned by human effort but is received by faith in Jesus Christ. The Lord said in Matthew 4:4, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” Again, in Matthew 7:24, He said that whoever hears His words and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Hearing and obeying God’s Word is what makes us truly wise. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Worldly knowledge is not wrong, but it must be balanced with spiritual wisdom that feeds our inner man.
We must cry out for the wisdom of God. As we are filled with the Holy Spirit, the Lord grants us divine wisdom and discernment. He enables us to speak words of life that carry wisdom to others. Not only do we live by His Word, but we also become vessels through whom others receive life. When the apostles were choosing leaders in the early church, they sought men full of wisdom and the Holy Spirit. Stephen was one such man full of faith, the Spirit, and wisdom. When the people of Cyrene, Alexandria, and Asia rose against him, they could not resist the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke (Acts 6:9-10). Stephen stood firm because God’s wisdom guided his words. Likewise, Daniel was filled with divine discernment. When King Nebuchadnezzar recognized that the Spirit of God and wisdom were in Daniel, he exalted him to a high position. In the same way, when God’s wisdom fills your life, He will lift you up and make you a blessing to others.
Today, dear friend, cry out for that heavenly wisdom. God’s promise still stands. He gives wisdom to all who ask. May you live by every word that comes from His mouth. Let your decisions, thoughts, and actions be guided by His Spirit. The Lord will fill your heart with divine knowledge and understanding. When you speak, let your words carry His wisdom and power. Like Stephen and Daniel, may you be filled with both the Spirit and the wisdom of God. Let others see Christ, the Wisdom of God, shining through you.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word that gives me wisdom. Lord, as You have promised, fill me today with divine wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Let every word from Your mouth dwell richly in me. Lord Jesus, You are the Wisdom of God—come and fill my heart. When I struggle to make wise decisions, grant me discernment. Fill me with memory power and clarity of mind. Help me to find success through Your guidance, especially in times of exams or challenges. Let Your Spirit of wisdom and revelation rest upon me. Reveal deep mysteries to me. Make me like Daniel and Stephen, full of wisdom and power. Let my words bring life to others. Lift me up to great heights, O Lord. Bless me with tremendous insight, understanding, and the fear of the Lord. Let me find joy in Your presence and strength in Your wisdom. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.
