My dear friends, it is a joy to see you this morning. Today’s promise from Romans 5:5 reminds us that, “Hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts.” Many times, it is difficult to hold on to hope when life becomes hard. When you have no clue what to do next, people may come and ask, “What is going on in your life? What’s next for you? Why hasn’t this happened yet? You said that you are trusting God for a miracle, but where is it?” Such questions can hurt us and make us feel discouraged. People may try to put us down, and in such situations, it can become difficult to hold on to hope and understand God’s plan for our lives.

People may want us to follow their timelines, but God knows exactly when and how to lift us up. That is why hoping in Him is so important. Think about Joseph in the Bible. God gave Joseph dreams—very great dreams—that he would one day be lifted up. But what happened in his life was exactly the opposite of what he had dreamed. He was thrown into a pit. His brothers hated him and sold him into slavery. Later, he was put into prison. His life looked completely different from the dream God had shown him. Yet Joseph did not stop hoping in the Lord. His heart did not become hard. God continued to pour His love upon him. At the right time, God lifted Joseph up and placed him in a position of power, where he could serve the very people who had hurt him. God did it at His timing because Joseph continued to hope in Him.

Even when Joseph came face to face with the people who had disappointed and hurt him, he did not allow bitterness, hurt, or disappointment to overtake his heart. Instead, he served them with God’s love. Joseph was able to say, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” Joseph did not deny the fact that people had harmed him. But he allowed God to work in his heart. That is what God’s love can do in a person’s heart. It keeps us hoping in the Lord and continually fills us with His love.

God’s love helps us trust the Lord, His plans, and His timing as His purposes unfold in our lives. Therefore, today, continue to hope in the Lord, no matter what your situation looks like. Those who hope in the Lord will not be put to shame. So, be of good cheer. God’s love will fill your heart. He will remove every bitterness, every hurt, every disappointment, and every brokenness, and He will build your life with His love. Be encouraged today. God has great plans that will unfold in your life at the right time.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for Your wonderful promise that those who hope in You will never be put to shame. Help me to trust Your plans and Your perfect timing, even when my circumstances look different from what I expected. Remove every bitterness, hurt, disappointment, loneliness, and brokenness from my heart and fill me with Your unconditional love. Give me grace and wisdom to handle every situation. Help me remain humble as Your plans unfold in my life and make me a blessing to others. Bless all my efforts as I obey Your directions and trust You completely. May my life bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
