As the new month begins and life becomes filled with responsibilities, pressures, and concerns, the Lord gently reminds you to lift your eyes toward heaven, where true peace and lasting security are found. In II Corinthians 5:1, God promises His children an eternal home prepared by Him, not built by human hands. What a comforting assurance for your heart today. Jesus also teaches in Matthew 10:41–42 that heaven holds eternal rewards for those who faithfully follow Him, live righteously, and sincerely serve His kingdom.
The first heavenly reward is for faithful disciples who remain close to Jesus through every season of life. Jesus says in John 8:31 that true disciples are those who hold firmly to His teachings. Mary Magdalene beautifully reflected this devotion. After Jesus delivered her, she never forgot His mercy and love. Even during the painful moments of the crucifixion, while many stepped away in fear, she remained near Him with unwavering faithfulness. Because of her deep love for Jesus, she became one of the first people to witness the risen Christ. In the same way, the Lord delights when you choose prayer over distraction, holiness over compromise, and obedience over convenience.
The second heavenly reward is for righteous living. Daniel 12:3 says that those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever. Righteousness means reflecting Christ’s nature through forgiveness, humility, purity, kindness, and love in daily life. As you surrender yourself fully to God, He uses your life to strengthen and guide others. Thirdly, the Lord also rewards those who serve Him prophetically by speaking words that comfort, strengthen, and restore people. Amos 3:7 reveals that God shares His heart with His servants, bringing hope to weary souls and reminding them they are not forgotten.
One beautiful example of this was Esther Rasathi from Namakkal district. She came to a Jesus Calls Prayer Meeting, crushed by severe financial burdens and hopelessness. Debt collectors mocked her constantly, and every effort to overcome her struggles had failed. In deep despair, she had even written a suicide note before attending the meeting, still hoping for one final miracle from God. During the prayer meeting, the Holy Spirit moved my heart to speak these prophetic words: “Rasathi, you have come here in deep sorrow because of your financial problems. But from today, the Lord will bless you, and your sorrows will turn into joy.” The moment she heard those words, God’s presence filled her heart with peace and renewed hope. From that very day, the Lord miraculously opened doors for her finances, helping her clear every debt completely. My friend, this is the beauty of God’s prophetic ministry. He sees your pain, speaks hope into your darkest moments, and reminds you that your story is not over because His hand is still upon your life.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank You for preparing eternal rewards for those who faithfully follow You. Help me to remain close to You through every season of my life. Teach me to walk in righteousness, humility, and obedience each day. Fill my heart with love to comfort the broken and strengthen the weary. Use me as a vessel to reflect Your goodness and bring others closer to You. Even when trials surround me, help me to keep my eyes fixed on heaven always. Thank You for never forgetting my labour of love. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray, Amen.
