Dear friend, today the Lord says as in Jeremiah 15:20, “They will fight against you like an attacking army, but I will make you as secure as a fortified wall of bronze”. Dear friend, the wall in Israel is so important. Usually, they build a strong wall around the tabernacle. They built protection against an attacking army. Here, the Lord says, “I will make you like a bronze wall”. Normally, they build it with rocks or bricks, but building it with bronze is very expensive. It is also not possible. Here, the Lord speaks to him spiritually. “You will be like a bronze wall”, the Lord says. No one can break a bronze wall. Here, the Lord means you will be so strong that no one can stand against you.

Jeremiah was considered as a weeping prophet. He was lamenting over the sins of the people of Israel. He was giving destructive prophecies. The people were so angry against him. That's why he cried to the Lord like this in verse 18, “Why is my pain unending and my wound grievous and incurable?” He went through so much pain. He was put in a dungeon. He was not given proper food. Just for the purpose of doing God's ministry, he had to suffer. As we see in Jeremiah 15:6, the people kept on backsliding. So the Lord said to them I will reach out and destroy them. The Lord also said I am tired of holding back. And because of this, people even cursed Jeremiah. He must have said it's enough, Lord, I cannot move forward. That's why the Lord said I will make you like a bronze wall.

The Lord said they will fight against you like an attacking army. But I will make you as a secure and a fortified wall of bronze. This is a sign of security for Jeremiah, and he became so confident that God would be with him wherever he went. If God be for us, who can be against us? Maybe you are also going through so many challenges. Attacks after attacks. People would be putting you down. Saying you are useless. People might be discouraging you. But then stay strong. The word of God comes only to you today, dear friend. The Lord will make you like a bronze wall. People may fight against you. But nothing can touch you. God will protect you. God will rescue you. Be bold, and move forward.

PRAYER: 
Loving Heavenly Father, I come before You today, having faith in Your promise. Lord, when battles rise against me like an attacking army, make me strong like a fortified wall of bronze. Give me courage when people discourage me and speak against me. Strengthen my heart when I feel weak, tired, or ready to give up. Just as You strengthened Jeremiah in his suffering, strengthen me today. Help me to stand firm and trust that You are always with me. Protect me from every attack and rescue me from every trouble. Let Your presence be my only security and my confidence wherever I go. Thank You, Lord, because with You I will remain unshaken in every battle. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
