Dear friend, today we are going to meditate on Ephesians 1:3, “God has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ”. God not only gives us material blessings, but He is delighted in blessing us with spiritual blessings, that, too, with all heavenly blessings. The Bible says every good and perfect gift is from above. When God gives us, it is perfect because He is a perfect God. He not only blesses us with worldly blessings, but He also wants us to be perfect; that’s why He gives us spiritual blessings. God is a God of abundance. Out of His abundance, we have all received one grace after another. As in II Corinthians 9:8, “God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work”. In every good work, in all things, in all that we need, the Lord fills us with His goodness.

He wants us to become like Him from glory to glory. He transforms us into His own image with ever-increasing glory. This, too, comes from the Lord. Given identity in Christ, you will not only be an ‘Evangeline’, but ‘Evangeline in Christ’. You are not alone, dear friend. You are with Christ, and with the fullness of Christ. That’s why the Lord Jesus says in John 15:5, “Without Me you can do nothing.” Yes, He puts His name in us. He literally puts a seal upon us. That’s what we see in II Corinthians 1:22. He sets His seal of ownership on us. If God’s name is upon you, you can do all things. You will be very successful.

Our Karunya alumni used to testify like this: wherever they go, people will look at them and say, “There is something in you. I can see a special grace that is upon you.” Especially in their workplaces, their owners used to testify about them like this: “Whatever you are doing, the Lord is blessing it. There is something special in you.” What is that speciality? That is the identity in Christ. Our father, Bro. Dhinakaran used to pray like this for the students of Karunya. Whenever he would bless the 4th year students who would be going out the next year, he would be praying like this: “Lord, I bless these children with special grace, O God. They should not only be blessed in a worldly measure. They should be blessed spiritually. Fill them with all the graces, O God.” I know because of our father’s prayer that these children are blessed today. This is the heart of our heavenly Father also: let Me bless My children with all the heavenly blessings as well as material blessings. Jacob, when he blessed his son Joseph, he prayed such a prayer. Let the earthly blessings and heavenly blessings come upon you today.

PRAYER: 
Heavenly Father, thank You for blessing me with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Fill me with Your abundance and bestow upon me one grace after another. Transform me from glory to glory into Your image. Put Your name upon me and set Your seal of ownership on me. Let Your special grace be seen in my life. Bless me with heavenly and earthly blessings. Help me abound in every good work. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray.  Amen.
