Dear Friend, Many times, we make plans with great expectation — plans for our work, our family, our studies, or even our future. Yet, the Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:9: “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” No matter how carefully we plan, only God’s purpose stands firm. That’s why Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” This means before you start anything — even the simplest task like cooking for your family or going out for work — offer it to the Lord in prayer. Say, “Lord, this belongs to You.” When you do that, God takes responsibility for your success. He aligns your thoughts, your timing, and your actions with His divine plan. And when He establishes something, no man or circumstance can shake it.
When we truly commit our plans to God, peace fills our hearts. We stop worrying about the outcome because we know it is in His hands. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord — plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Sometimes, we become anxious — “Will my project succeed? Will my studies go well? Will my efforts be appreciated?” But the Lord says, “Don’t worry. I already know the end from the beginning.” When you give everything to God, even the small details — like the food you cook, the words you speak, the money you spend — He blesses it all. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He makes everything beautiful in its time.” Yes, your results will be beautiful. Your family will be blessed. Your marriage, your ministry, your children — all will flourish because you allowed God to lead your plans.
So, dear child of God, make it a habit to dedicate every moment of your life to Him. Before you start work, pray. Before you study, pray. Before you travel or make decisions, say, “Lord, I give this to You.” The Bible says in Psalm 20:4: “May He grant you according to your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans.” When you walk with this faith, you will find divine favor in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:4–5). God Himself will glorify His name through your life (Colossians 3:23). The result of every plan will bring joy, peace, and thanksgiving. Remember, He is not asking you to do great things — just to commit everything into His hands. He will take care of the rest. When you live this way, your life becomes a testimony of how God turns simple obedience into lasting success.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for being the author of all my plans. Teach me to commit every work, every thought, and every dream to You. Take control of my steps and lead me in Your perfect will. Remove all fear, anxiety, and doubt from my heart. Let everything I do bring glory to Your name. Make my work fruitful and bless the labor of my hands. Establish my plans in Your righteousness and wisdom. Let Your beauty and favor rest upon me and my family. May all my desires align with Your will, O Lord. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
