My precious child of God, I greet you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today’s meditation is from Isaiah 43:4: “You are precious and honored in my sight.” What a beautiful promise from our loving Father! He says not only are you precious, but you are also honored before Him. Many people in this world seek honor from men, but true honor comes from God. The question is, how do we receive this divine honor? The Word of God clearly teaches us the ways. In Proverbs 3:9 it says, “Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the first fruits of all your increase.” When we give our best to God whether it be our time, our wealth, or the fruits of our labor, we show that He comes first in our lives. This is one way we bring Him honor, and in return, He honors us.
The Bible also says in Proverbs 14:31, “He who honors the poor has mercy on the needy.” Honoring God is not only about giving to Him directly but also about helping the poor and needy around us. Every time we extend compassion and help to those who suffer, we are actually honoring God Himself. Proverbs 29:23 reminds us that “the humble in spirit will retain honor.” My child, humility before God and people is the key to being lifted up by the Lord. Psalm 8:4-5 says, “What is man that You are mindful of him? You have crowned him with glory and honor.” How glorious it is that our Heavenly Father chooses to crown us with honor when we walk humbly before Him! Furthermore, 2 Timothy 2:21 says, “If anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor.” A clean life, sanctified and yielded to the Holy Spirit, prepares us to be useful for God’s great works.
Finally, the Lord Jesus Himself said in John 12:26: “If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.” Dear child of God, the path to honor is simple, honor the Lord with your best, help the poor, live a clean life, remain humble, and serve Christ faithfully. When you do this, the honor of God will surely rest upon you. This honor is not temporary like the recognition of men, but eternal, coming from the Father who sees all. Let us therefore commit ourselves today to live lives that honor Him, and in return, He will crown us with His glory and honor.
Prayer:
My precious Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me precious and honored in Your sight. Thank You for the crown of glory You place upon my head. Teach me to honor You with my best offerings. Help me to remember the poor and needy with compassion. Fill my heart with true humility before You and before others. Cleanse me and make me a vessel of honor for Your kingdom. Lead me to walk in holiness and obedience each day. Strengthen me to serve Christ faithfully wherever You place me. Bless me with divine honor that never fades. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.
