My dear friend, it’s a joy today to be with the Lord and receive His blessing. We’re going to receive it together. It’s from Psalm 119:148. This verse today says, “My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on Your promises.” Look at the longing of the Psalmist; how much he’s awake and waiting to meditate on the promises of God. God’s promises are superb, worth waiting for. In a family, the parents suddenly had to take a trip, leaving their children behind. The children said, “Mummy, Daddy, we are going to come with you; we are not going to leave you.” But they said, “You have exams, you have to stay and write them with your relatives.” So, they agreed and said, “Okay, only if you bring us back toys and gifts.” The parents said, “Okay.” The children said, “Do you promise? You have to buy us!” They said, “Yes, yes, we promise—don’t worry, go and study.”

And the moment the parents came back, and the children saw them, they were running and waiting to see what gifts their parents had brought. Indeed, they had kept up their promise and revealed all the gifts. They showed different types of clothes, different chocolates, biscuits, and toys, not just one gift, but so many. This is how the Lord also honours a promise to us. He gives abundantly and fulfills His word. I remember a moment when the Lord called my grandfather for full-time ministry. He was working as a banker and doing ministry in the evenings. When the Lord called him, he was very hesitant to leave his bank job and fully get into ministry.

The Lord gave him a divine experience in that moment and said to him face to face, “If I agree to go with you wherever you go, will you agree to serve Me?” And my grandfather said, “Yes, Lord.” So, the Lord wrote in a scroll, “I, Jesus, promise to go with Dhinakaran wherever He goes,” signing His name. And till today, He has fulfilled that promise across generations. It’s the reason why things are happening in the ministry. He has kept us close to Him and opened the door for ministry. Whenever we step up, Jesus reveals Himself to the people. He will fulfill the everyday promise that He shows you from the Word of God also. Shall we ask God for a heart to long for His promises?

PRAYER:
Loving Jesus, You are my promise-keeping Lord. Your promises are powerful, and each one has the power to change my life. You bless abundantly, far beyond what I could ever imagine. Please grant me a heart that longs to hear Your promises, to read Your Word each day and receive the message You have for me. When I sit before You to read, open my eyes and my ears, Lord. Reveal to me the secrets of Your promises. Speak to me personally and let me feel Your presence as You guide me through Your Word. Let every promise You have spoken over my life come true. I look forward to Your promises every day with hope and expectation. I receive that longing heart from You today, Jesus. Thank You for being faithful and true. In Your precious name, Amen.
