My precious friends, the Lord is our protector in times of trouble. In this world, there are dangers, accidents, losses, and seasons when the people around us are scattered or no longer with us. Yet, in the midst of all these, the Lord remains our refuge. According to Psalm 27:5, “For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high upon a rock.” My dear friends, days of trouble will come. Isaiah 57:1 says that “the righteous man is taken away from calamity.” Sometimes even young people are taken home to be with the Lord.
Yesterday, someone called me and said, “My brother was only 53 years old. His children are still very young. They need their father at this stage of life. But yesterday, within just five minutes, he passed away suddenly. Just before that, he had been talking with our mother. He then went into his room, said he could not breathe, and within five minutes he was gone. Why did this happen?” I told him, “Before the calamity that could have separated your brother from the Lord overtook him, God, in His mercy, protected his soul and took him to heaven.” He replied, “What you are saying is true. My brother had been addicted to alcohol for many years. His liver had become severely damaged. But during the last six months, he had truly repented and given up drinking. Occasionally, he would fall back and drink a little, but he struggled with all his heart to quit completely. This past week, he had stopped drinking entirely. Every day he would visit our elderly mother, spend time talking with her, encourage her, and make her happy. Though he had his own family, he never failed to come and care for our mother. After such a wonderful transformation, he was suddenly taken home.”
Yes, the righteous are taken away before calamity comes. Their souls are kept safe. But as long as we live in this world, the Lord hides us in the secret place of His dwelling. He hid that man forever in His heavenly dwelling. For us who remain on earth, He hides us under the shelter of His presence so that Satan cannot touch us, wicked people cannot harm us, and evil cannot overtake us. He not only hides us but also sets us upon the Rock, establishing us where no one can shake or destroy us. This is the grace the Lord is giving you today. He will establish your job. He will establish your family life. He will establish your education. He will establish your business. He will establish your ministry. He will establish the anointing upon your life. He will keep you safely hidden in His shelter.
People may search for you with evil intentions, but they will not be able to find you. When David entered the enemy's camp, the Lord caused all his enemies to fall into a deep sleep. David completed his mission and returned safely. Not one person could touch him. In the same way, the Lord will do this for you. Therefore, be courageous. Psalm 90:1 says, “Lord, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.” He is not only my refuge but also the refuge of my children and my grandchildren. Deuteronomy 33:27 declares, “The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you and will say, ‘Destroy them.’” Therefore, do not be afraid. Psalm 91:1 says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” The Lord is giving you this grace today. 2 Corinthians 6:16 says, “What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said, ‘I will make My dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’”
Yes, my beloved friends, the Lord will protect your soul, preserve you as His own child, and keep you as His holy temple. He will guide you with His unfailing love and be with you wherever you go. Therefore, be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is always by your side. May you walk in His peace, protection, and victory every day. God bless you!
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank You for being my refuge and strong tower in every season of life. Hide me under the shelter of Your wings and keep me safe in the day of trouble. Conceal me in Your secret place and set me high upon the Rock that cannot be shaken. Protect my family, my children, and all that You have entrusted to me from every evil plan and attack of the enemy. Establish my life, my work, my ministry, and my future according to Your perfect will. Let Your presence surround me always, and help me to live with courage, knowing that You are with me wherever I go. May Your blessing remain upon my family for generations. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
