God’s promise is, “I will grant salvation to you. I will grant you My splendour,” as found in Isaiah 46:13. Yes, Jesus is the Saviour. Jesus means the One who saves us from sin, as we read in Matthew 1:21. No other name is given on earth by which people can be saved except the name of Jesus. Only by the name of Jesus, and only by Jesus, can we be saved and freed from sin. Acts 4:12 clearly says that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Titus 3:5 tells us that Jesus has given us salvation not because we have done righteous things, but because of His mercy upon us. His mercy never fails.
Even today, you can turn to Him and say, “Lord, have mercy on me.” None of us is perfect. None of us is perfect. We can come to His mercy seat anytime through Jesus. In John 3:16 and 17, the Bible says that God so loved us that when we come to Him and believe in Him, He will not allow us to perish, but will give us eternal life by forgiving our sins. He will not judge and condemn us and throw us away. He will have mercy, remove our sins, and forgive us. Thank God for His love. In John 12:47, Jesus Himself says, “I have come to save you.”
Jesus once went in search of a sinner who was hiding in a tree because he was short and wanted to see Jesus. Nobody knew he was there, but Jesus found him. His name was Zacchaeus. Jesus called him by name even though they had never met. Imagine how shocked he must have been. God knows your name. Others called him “sinner, sinner, sinner” because he took bribes and harassed people, but Jesus called him by his name and said, “I am coming to your home today.” Zacchaeus received Him with joy. You too can take the Lord Jesus into your home today with joy, with your sins forgiven. He will give you His salvation, and He will give you His splendour. I Chronicles 16:29 says that when you come before the Lord, He gives you the splendour of His holiness. May God give you this blessing.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your loving promise of salvation and splendour. I confess to You, Lord, that I am not perfect and I need Your mercy. Thank You for saving me not by my works, but by Your grace. Please forgive all my sins, Lord, and wash me clean today. Thank You for calling me by my name and loving me. Please come into my heart and fill me with Your joy. Grant me the joy of Your salvation and clothe me with Your holiness. Let Your mercy speak louder than my past. I receive Your gift of eternal life today with an eager heart. Amen.
