Dear friend, today God has a beautiful promise for you from Isaiah 32:18, “My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.” What a blessed life God has promised His children! Every person in this world longs for peace, yet true peace is found only in Christ. The devil tries to steal peace from families through sin, sickness, oppression, and confusion. But God’s Word assures us that those whose mind is stayed upon Him will be kept in perfect peace. The Lord leads His people into green pastures and beside still waters, giving rest and contentment. As Paul said in Philippians 4:11, “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” God’s children not only enjoy peace but also delight in His blessings day by day.
Once, during our visit to a family in Seattle, we saw this promise fulfilled in their home. Every night they gathered for family prayer in which the parents playing guitar, one son on the piano, and another on the drums. Together they worshipped the Lord with such joy and harmony that we felt heaven descend in that place. During prayer, God spoke to them saying, “I am pleased with you, My children; that is why I have given you peace.” Truly, they were living in a secure and peaceful dwelling. The secret was simple: united family prayer, honoring God as the head of their home. When a family invites Jesus into their home, He fills every corner with His peace, protection, and rest.
Dear friend, if you are lacking peace today, come to the Lord as a family. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Even if you have small children, gather them and pray together. God will build a wall of fire around your home, He will bless your borders with peace, and He will protect you from all evil. Pray together as a family for God’s peace to fill your home.
Prayer:
Loving Father, Thank You for Your promise of peace and rest. Lord, place Your protecting hand upon my home and make it a secure dwelling. Be a wall of fire around us so that no evil force can touch us. Fill our family with Your presence, blessing us with joy, rest, and unity. Let Jesus be the head of our home always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
