My dear friends, it is a joy for me to see you this morning. Today’s promise is from John 14:14: “You may ask for anything in My name and I will do it.” Today, as you ask the Lord in the name of Jesus, He will do it. Be of good cheer, my dear friends. You may have many requests and desires, but today God will grant them as you ask in His name and according to His will, for His glory. 

We see in the Bible a person who asked the Lord. In 1 Kings, God told Solomon, “Ask whatever you want and I will give it to you.” Solomon asked for wisdom and discernment to govern God’s people. He did not ask for riches. He did not ask for long life. He did not ask for fame or honour. He did not ask God to defeat all his enemies. No, he asked God for wisdom to govern His people and for something that would bless them. God gave it to him.

We see the wisdom of Solomon in the Bible and the honour of Solomon spoken about for generations after generations. We see that there was no king like him in all the land. In the same way, God will bless you as you ask according to His will to bless His people.  Do not ask only to bless yourself or for your own benefit. Instead, pray, “Lord, give me according to Your will so that I will be a blessing to others. Let what You give me become a testimony for others to believe in Your name. Let me be a living testimony of Your goodness.” Today, let our prayer be shaped in that way: “Lord, as You bless me today, let me be a blessing to others, not just for my sake, but for Your glory.”

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for Your promise that whatever we ask in Your name, You will do according to Your will. Teach us to ask with a heart that desires to bless others and glorify Your name. Bless Your children with good jobs, wisdom, good health, good family life, and all the strength they need. Grant their requests according to Your perfect will and make their lives a testimony of Your goodness. Let every blessing You give them become a blessing to others. Help them shine in their lives and bring glory to Your name. May Your name be glorified through every answer to prayer. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
