Dear friend, today's promise reminds us of a beautiful truth found in Acts 15:11: “We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved.” Salvation is not something we can earn through our own efforts. It is a precious and undeserved gift from God. The Bible clearly teaches in Ephesians 2:8 that we are saved by grace through faith. It is not from ourselves; it is the gift of God. Many people wonder whether good deeds alone can take them to heaven. Once while shopping, a dear sister asked, “If we do good deeds, can we enter the kingdom of God?” We may be kind, generous, and helpful to others, but without Jesus Christ, we cannot enter heaven. Salvation comes only through God's grace.

The Apostle Paul understood this truth deeply and declared in 1 Corinthians 15:10, “By the grace of God I am what I am.” Everything we are and everything we have comes from God's grace. What God requires from us is faith. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him. During my college days, one of my friends often made fun of Christians, saying, “You people always say believe, believe, believe. What is there to believe?” One day I sat with her and explained the love of Jesus. I told her that Jesus gave His life on the cross and shed His precious blood for our sins. If we believe in Him, we receive salvation and eternal life. That is why we say, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”  I have personally seen this promise fulfilled. My mother believed in the Lord, and through her faith, our family came to know Christ. Today we rejoice in the salvation God has graciously given us.

Another unforgettable incident took place during the early days of my ministry at a youth meeting. During prayer, many young people, mostly school students, were being filled with the Holy Spirit. One girl stood watching everything that was happening. As she saw the students praying, worshipping, and being touched by God, she mocked them in her heart. She compared them to chickens running around after their heads had been cut off and quietly laughed at them.

Yet God's grace reached even her. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit touched her powerfully. She too began to rejoice in God's presence and later ran to the stage to testify. She openly confessed, “I was making fun of these people, but today the Lord has filled me with His precious Holy Spirit.” That very day she experienced God's salvation and became His child—not because of her good deeds, but because of His amazing grace.

God is gracious and merciful. He does not reject those who come to Him. Even when people ignore His salvation, He lovingly calls them back. Hebrews 2:3 asks, “How shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation?” Today, God is extending that same invitation to you. The Bible says, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.” We all have a choice to make. Will we choose sin, or will we choose God's grace? Let us choose the grace that comes through Jesus Christ and receive the eternal life He freely offers.

PRAYER:
Loving Heavenly Father, I thank You that my salvation comes through Your grace alone. You are the One who saves me from sin, darkness, and every bondage, and You lead me into Your marvelous light. You help me to place my faith completely in Jesus Christ and trust in His finished work on the cross. You cause Your grace to abound in my life and bring salvation to my family. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
