My dear friend, it’s another day of rejoicing with the Lord. Every day, He shows up to give us victory by leading us. Today, as per Psalm 97:11, we are going to receive a new victorious blessing. It says, “Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.” It’s no ordinary light. It’s no ordinary joy. It’s the light of Christ. It’s the joy of the Lord. It comes upon the righteous, upon those who want to be upright before the Lord. What is this joy? It is the strength of God in our hearts. The righteous have so much strength, abundant in their heart through the joy of God.

And this light is the witness and testimony of the Lord about us and the testimony before all people of our righteousness and union with God, when they say, “This is God’s servant. This is a man of God, a woman of God.” You can see this in the lives of Daniel, Joseph, Paul and Silas. When the earth shook and the prisons opened by the mighty power of God, the jailer fell before Paul and Silas, testifying that they were people of God, and asked, “How can I also be saved like you?” Even Joseph, when he interpreted the cupbearer’s dream, he was recognised as a man of God. When Daniel overcame the lions in the den, the king himself said, “Truly your God is God.”

In their hearts, they were full of joy, a joy that protected them even in prison. They kept on believing, trusting, and remaining righteous in the midst of unjust imprisonment. And the light of the Lord was upon them, witnessing that they were truly God’s servants. These are the two blessings that God gives the righteous. So don’t worry, God is giving us a godly fear in our hearts to always stay right before Him and before man. He will fill such a heart with righteousness. Shall we receive it right now?

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, pour Your righteousness into me. Feed my longing to be upright before You. Feed me with Your righteousness. Feed me with Your holiness. Let my thoughts be pure, my desires be holy, and my heart be steadfast before You. Make me, Lord, a person after Your own heart, Your true servant. Let my life be a testimony of Your grace. Holy Spirit, please fill me with Your presence and present my testimony before kings and before all who surround me, that they may see Your light in me and say, “Truly, this is a servant of God.” Let Your joy rise within me, even in times of injustice. Let it protect my righteousness and keep me upright. For only by Your strength can I be righteous, Lord. Let Your joy be my strength, my song, and my hope. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
