Friends, are you struggling with a battle in your life today? Does everything seem to be a struggle? Does your family life seem to be a struggle? Does taking care of your children seem to be a struggle? Does your work life feel like a battle? Are you trying to handle everything by yourself? Do you feel tired and worn out? Today, the Lord reminds you that the battle is not yours, but His. Let us read 2 Chronicles 20:15: “The battle is not yours, but God’s.”
I remember a time in my life when I took everything upon myself. I think it was around the time when Jaden was born. I was thinking about so many things. I thought, “Lord, I have to go back to college. I have to finish my degree. I have to take care of Jaden. I have to take care of Katie.” People even started asking me, “What happened to you? Why are you looking so worried and confused?” One night, the Lord said, “Just leave everything in My hands.”
After everybody went to bed, I used to spend time praying. During that time, the Lord reminded me of His Word: “Come to me, all who are weak and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Yes, my dear friends, the Lord is waiting to give you that rest. Do not take everything upon yourself.
Our dog also gives us a beautiful lesson. Every time he comes and lies down near us, when we sit on the floor with him, he lets out a big sigh of relief. It is as though he is saying, “Oh, my mommy is near me. She will take care of everything.” In the same way, today, I encourage all of you to take that big sigh of relief and remember that the Lord will take care of everything in your life. This is not your battle; it is the Lord’s. You do not have to worry about your life. The Lord will take care of it. Today, let us submit everything into the Lord’s hands and pray together.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, we give everything into Your hands today, Father. We do not want to be worried or confused anymore. We surrender our lives to You because this is not our battle, but Yours. Lord, many of Your children may be waiting for their results today. Remind them that the battle is not theirs, but Yours. As they place everything in Your hands, grant them the best results according to Your perfect will. Thank You for blessing Your dear children and giving them the best in their lives, even more than they could wish for. Fill each one with Your rest, peace, and happiness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
