Dear friends, today we are going to meditate from Ephesians 1:11, “In Christ we have obtained an inheritance.” What a glorious truth this is! This blessing belongs only to the children of God. When we believe in Jesus, He makes us His own. We are no longer strangers or orphans, but members of God’s royal family. The Bible says in Romans 8:17, “We are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.” How wonderful! In this world, an inheritance passes down through families as wealth, lands, or possessions. But in the kingdom of God, our inheritance is not of this world. It is eternal, pure, and kept safe by God Himself. Jesus said in John 14:3, “Where I am, there you shall be also. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me.” Dear friend, this means Christ Himself is our inheritance. Having Him is greater than having all the treasures of this world.

Having God in us is the greatest blessing. The riches of this world fade away, but the joy of belonging to Christ lasts forever. The Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 1:14 that “the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance.” In verse 13, he adds, “We are sealed with the promised Holy Spirit as owned and protected by God.” Through the Holy Spirit, we are marked as His possession and guarded every day. What a privilege it is to be indwelt by the Spirit of God! That’s why Jesus prayed in John 17:11, “Holy Father, protect them by the power of Your name.” When we have Jesus in our hearts, we are protected. We are safe and secure in the mighty hands of our Lord. Our inheritance is secure too so no thief can steal it, no power can destroy it. Psalm 16:5–6 beautifully declares, “The Lord is my portion and my cup; You hold my lot. Indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.” Dear friend, Jesus Himself is that beautiful inheritance. Having Him, we have everything we ever need as peace, provision, and eternal life.

What Jesus has, we also have. He said, “All I have is yours.” (John 17:10) How rich we are in Him! Therefore, let us desire more of Jesus every day. We often sing, “Lord, we need more of You.” That must become our daily prayer, not for things, but for Christ Himself. The more we have of Jesus, the more we will enjoy His blessings. Let us cry out to receive this divine inheritance, the fullness of Christ in us, the hope of glory. May God bless every home with the awareness of this eternal inheritance in Christ Jesus.

Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for making me Your child through Christ. Thank You for giving me a glorious inheritance in Jesus. Lord, help me to value You above all worldly treasures. Let the Holy Spirit always remind me that I belong to You. Protect me and my family under Your mighty hand. Let Your wisdom, grace, and favor overflow in my life. Help me to live as an heir of Your promises. Let Christ increase in me and my self decrease. May blessings and miracles flow upon me daily. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
