Dear friend, today we are going to meditate on a beautiful word from I John 5:4, “For everyone born of God overcomes the world.” To be born of God is a totally new experience. God will not allow anything else inside us; He will fill our vessel with Himself. When He is inside us, we can overcome the world. Again, it says, who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. We have to just believe in Jesus. Then He comes and stays within us. Every child of God overcomes the world. The principle which has overcome the world is our faith. Just believe that Jesus is the Son of God. No one can enter the kingdom of God without the Son of God, Jesus. He is the door. He is the way. He is the truth and the life.

Through your faith, you can overcome the world. This world is so wicked. The prince of this world destroys everything that is in the world. When you believe in this world, you will be full of darkness, but when you believe in Jesus, you will have the light. Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will have the light of life.” The just shall live by faith. That’s why Jesus says, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart, I have overcome the world.” When you have Him in your heart, you can overcome the world, too. Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. The One who is in you is greater than the one who is in this world.

People may praise and worship the one who is in this world. People may follow the pattern of this world. Many are deceived by the plans and schemes of the prince of this world. But the Word of God clearly says, the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in this world. If you have this great God in you, you will overcome this world. That is being born again by God. When the Lord Jesus spoke to Nicodemus in the night about being born again, He said, “Unless you are born again, you cannot enter into the kingdom of God”. When we have the Spirit of God in us, we will overcome the world and enter into the kingdom of God. We overcome not by human efforts, our flesh is weak, but the Spirit living in us is strong. He fights every battle. He gives us the victory. He helps us overcome temptations and live a righteous life. Today, many of us struggle to live a righteous life. Would you give your heart to the Lord today, dear friend?

PRAYER: 
Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and my Saviour. Even now, please come and fill me with Your presence. Anoint me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to overcome the things of this world through my faith in You. Lord, shine Your light in every dark place of my life. Please fight my battles and grant me victory. Let me experience the joy of Your salvation and live a righteous life for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
