Dear friend, today we are going to meditate on I Kings 9:3, where the Lord said to Solomon, “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me.” What a joy it is to see God and hear Him speaking. The Lord appeared to Solomon for the second time, which shows how much the Lord was pleased with the people of Israel and how much He loved the descendants of David. The first time Solomon became king, he did not ask God for riches, but asked for wisdom. The second time, Solomon prayed for the temple, saying, “Lord, let Your eyes and Your ears be open to all the prayers that are offered in this temple.” The Lord was so pleased with his prayer and replied, “My eyes and My heart will always be there.” What a loving God we have, isn’t it? Our God is a God who gives us more than we ask or even imagine.

In the same way, in II Kings 20, when King Hezekiah prayed, the Lord said, “I have heard your prayers and seen your tears.” Hannah also prayed in the temple, and the Lord listened to her prayer. She did not ask for a child just for herself, but said, “Lord, if You give me a son, I will give him back to You.” Such a prayer pleased God. I remember once when we all gathered together as a family and prayed for our father, Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran, when he was sick. He asked all of us to lay our hands upon him and pray. When my turn came, I prayed, “Lord, give my father good health. Heal him, Lord, so that when he prays, many more people will be healed.” As I was praying, the Lord filled me with the Holy Spirit, and I was laughing with joy. I knew then that the Lord was pleased with my prayer, and that day I certainly received new grace from God.

Dear friend, our God listens to our prayers, and no prayer is ever wasted. Psalm 56:8 says that God lists all our tears and puts them in His bottle. Psalm 34:15 says, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry”. Today, we do not need to go only to a temple to pray, because Jesus, the true temple of God, lives in our hearts. Anytime and anywhere, we can talk to Jesus. Sometimes we feel our prayers are not heard, but the Lord makes us wait so that we would value His blessings. Keep on asking, keep on knocking, the Lord is listening. Even today, He says to you, “I have heard your prayer.” Do not be discouraged. The best things are yet to come. As David says in Psalm 23:5, God has already prepared a table for you. Everything is stored up for you, and when you wait, you will value the blessings the Lord gives you.

PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank You because You hear my prayers and see my every tear. Even in my waiting season, I trust that You are working everything for my good. Please strengthen my faith, Lord, and help me not to lose heart. Let Your presence fill my life. Teach me to value every blessing which You prepare for me. Thank You, Lord, for You are bringing answers to all my tear-filled prayers. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
