Dear friend,

This month God promises to grant us the prayers of our heart. Prayer is a living conversation between our loving Father in Heaven and His dependent children. Why does God answer some prayers and not others? Let us reflect on the prayers that God faithfully answers.

Prayer of Right Motive: The motive behind our prayer for God is deeply concerned not only with what we ask, but why we ask. Prayers driven by selfish ambition or personal indulgence often go unanswered as they are disconnected from God’s heart. And God will never empower motives that contradict His nature. (James 4:3, 1 Samuel chapters 1&2, Acts 8:9-24)

Prayer of Faith: Faith opens the door for answers. Our prayers are just words unless they are rooted in faith; prayers grounded in faith have the power to connect heaven and earth and release God’s provision at the right time. (Matthew 21:22, 1 John 5:15 & Mark 9:14-29)

Prayer Claiming God’s Promises: Prayer also draws strength from alignment with God’s Word. As we remain in Him and allow His words to dwell within us we will see our prayers fulfilled. When prayer flows from Scripture, fulfilment follows. (John 15:7, Matthew 6:33, Luke 10:42, 2 Kings 22:8–13 & 2 Kings 23:1–3)

Prayer Aligned with God’s Will: The Holy Spirit intercedes for us, helping us pray according to God’s perfect will. Our prayers that seek God’s will have the assurance of God’s response. When God reveals His will, He opens doors and also provides the strength to walk in it. (Romans 8:26, 27, 1 John 5:14, 1 Samuel 23:1–5; 2 Samuel 5:18–25)

Prayer from a Life that Pleases God: When our lives are marked by sincerity, obedience, and devotion, God responds generously, not out of obligation, but out of delight in those who seek to please Him. Also, God honors a heart that seeks reconciliation and righteousness. (1 John 3:21-22, 2 Kings 20:1–6; Isaiah 38:1–5, 1 Kings 3:3–13)

Prayer from a Fruitful Life: When we invest in eternal purposes like serving others, giving generously to God’s work, and sharing God’s love, God responds with abundant provision. What is sown in faith is reaped in joy as prayers are answered beyond imagination. (John 15:16, Acts 10:1-2, 4 & 30-44)

My friend, let us learn to pray not merely for answers, but for deeper intimacy to know who God is and therefore receive answers from Him.

‘My Loving Heavenly Father, thank You for hearing me when I pray. Please teach me to ask from You with pure motives and a trusting heart. Help me to believe in Your Word and claim Your promises. Reveal Your will to me through Your Holy Spirit. Lord, let my life bear fruit for Your kingdom, and fill my life with joy as You bring answers to my prayers. In Your precious name, Amen.’

Impact in January – Because of You


As the Lord revealed that this year would be a ‘Year to Arise and Build’ we saw God uniting the Churches, leaders and 12,000 of God’s people at the ‘Pudhu Varuda Perinba Peruvizha’ and ‘Chennai Youth Fest’ on January 3rd and 4th, 2026 which held at Chennai. The meetings reached 65,000 online viewers and over 7 lakh people through television broadcasts.

And there was also a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon youngsters, restoring and empowering their lives at the Chennai Youth Fest. (A young girl unable to walk fast after her leg surgery and a suicide attempt last year was healed during worship- she walked and jumped without pain and committed her life to serving the Lord. Also, Sis. Andrea received an uncontrollable anointing, began to speak in tongues for the first time and was overwhelmed with tears during the meeting); Br. Samuel Dhinakaran's wisdom filled prophetic message given on January 26th at Coimbatore Prayer for state election meet brought rich blessings to the pastors and leaders while the spirit filled worship time of Stella Ramola and Daniel Davidson at that meeting ushered in a powerful sense of God's presence.

  • 1.51 lakh Prayer Tower visitors experienced the life-changing power of intercession.
  • 36 lakh callers received comfort and miracles through the 24x7 Prayer Helplines.
  • 10 Lakh viewers ministered with hope through TV programs.
  • 17,917,640 visitors encountered the love of Christ through Social Media Pages and we also received 45,000 prayer requests.
  • 73,000 letters & emails received and prayed for & replied.
  • 4,130 events were conducted through the Prayer Towers and 1,13,640 people were touched.
  • 90 Children's ministry events were conducted in Prayer Towers, blessing 3810 children who participated

KARUNYA UNIVERSITY
Impacting lives through education, innovation, and compassion

  • One of our students from the Department of Agricultural Engineering has been offered an international placement with M/s Corteva Agriscience GmbH, Germany, with a gross annual salary of €28,286 (equivalent to INR 2.5 lakhs per month).
  • A six-member student team from the Division of Data Science and Cybersecurity at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences won the First Prize along with a cash award of ₹1,50,000 at the Smart India Hackathon 2025 for developing a “Cybersecurity Framework for Rural Digital Banking”
  • Two students from the Department of Biomedical Engineering are participating in the Semester Abroad Program at the University of Alicante, Spain, from January to June 2026.
  • To nurture entrepreneurial spirit and leadership among women ‘The Entrepreneurship Fair’ was conducted where women students and staff showcased 45+ innovative products and prototypes across diverse streams such as Food, Water, Energy and Healthcare.
  • Adlin and Mohamed Afzal, students of II MBA, have secured the First Prize in the Ideapreneur & Mock-up Competitions held at PSG competing among 20 talented teams.
  • Karunya faculty from the Division of Nanotechnology have been granted a patent highlighting the university’s strength in translational research and socially relevant technological innovation.
  • The President of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea, visited our campus for international collaboration, innovation, and academic exchange.

SEESHA
Reaching Vulnerable Communities with care and opportunity

  • New clothes were distributed to children and families in 5 tribal villages in Coimbatore and 17 locations across Cuddalore, Villupuram, and Thanjavur districts and through our 63 Learning Centres, nearly 4,000 new garments were distributed.
  • SEESHA field teams from both the South and North regions identified new villages for future community development programs.
  • Our Projects Team initiated PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) Staff Training, equipping staff with tools to better understand community needs and involve local people in planning and development processes.
