My dear friend, this month God wants you to hit the target. I am sure you would want to accomplish something in your life. Whether it’s in your studies or in your talents or in your profession or in your ministry what you want to achieve, God is going to help you hit the target. The Bible says in Psalm 127:3, 4,

“Children are gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him…are like arrows in a warrior’s hands.”

Yes, such a person will never miss the target because a mighty warrior is experienced in the battle. Having hit thousands upon thousands of arrows, he will not miss. We will be like an arrow which hits that target. God will shape and empower us. It is not us who are going to go, work and perform. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to rise up within us and do supernatural things.
 
'Every time if I need to do something or if I need to perform I don’t rely on myself, I pray a simple prayer saying, Holy Spirit raise up within me, I am inadequate but you are more than enough. You perform this for me as I am going to do your will and your plan. And God makes me do supernatural things.'

To hit the target, God helps us in two important things,

1. To Stay ‘Focus’ on the Target: Absolute focus and absolute determination on that target alone. If you see the Olympics who shoot with a bow and arrow, they will not wonder about looking here and there on who is moving, and they will not be looking at the opponents on how they are performing and you will notice that they take lot of time in aiming, they will keep on looking at the target and not be distracted on anything else. Likewise, we need to be fixated on our target first and always keep that focus in mind.

‘God gave Joseph a big vision that he will be above his family, that he will be such a great person in life. And he kept that vision all through his life no matter what circumstance, no matter what downfall, he always kept that vision before him. He never gave up on that vision and finally he was able to achieve it by becoming next to the king in power in that nation.’

Once we set a target, all through our hard work, all through our determination, we have to be focused on that target and not shift to other distractions.

2. To ‘Persevere’ towards the goal: Apostle Paul says, 'I forget about the things in the past, the former things and I push on towards the goal, for the price which God has called me for' (Philippians 3:13 & 14). Yes, to win that prize, we should keep pushing on towards the goal. No matter what might come in our way, we should not stop. No matter what challenges, no matter what failures might also come, handling those failures is the toughest thing.

But my friends, we have the advantage of having the confidence that God will make us hit the target. It is not because of our efforts or our power, the assurance that God will make us hit the target is with us. Let us keep pushing on towards the goal, getting back up even if we fail and Keep our eyes always on the price.

‘Even for Joseph when he was pushed to the pit by his brothers, when he was imprisoned wrongly by the master’s wife, he never gave up because he was fixated on that target. ‘God showed me that target, he showed me that vision, and surely he will make me achieve it. I will only faithfully keep on serving Him, even if I am thrown in the prison, even if I am wrongly accused, even if I fall into the pit, even if I may fail, I will reach that target.’

Today, God is giving you that Spirit of Zeal to push on towards the goal. Ask the Lord to make you an arrow in His hands, for He is the mighty Warrior. Pray for absolute focus, determination, and zeal beyond failures, negativity, and challenges, and a big heart to see that vision and hit the target. God will give you great success in your studies, in your talents and in your professional career to reach your goal.
